Where the community lives

Mostly Brooklyn — Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach, Gravesend, Bensonhurst — and Queens, around Rego Park, Forest Hills and Astoria. Many families live across the river in New Jersey: Jersey City, Newark, Elizabeth and Paterson. Smaller groups are in Yonkers and Westchester, on Long Island, and up into Stamford, Connecticut.

Nearby cities

Philadelphia is ninety minutes south, Pittsburgh at the far end of Pennsylvania, and many families have moved on to Raleigh, North Carolina. Businesses listed in one of these cities will often travel to the others — especially trucking, moving and contracting.
